Update: NAICOM Signs Agreement With Aggrieved Workers


Following the three days protest that rocked the head office of the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) in Abuja, the  has signed agreement with aggrieved staff on issues that fuelled the shutting down of the regulatory body.

The Head, Corporate Affairs , ‘Rasaaq ‘Salami, said that the workers have returned to work having signed an agreement with the .

“Normalcy has returned to today as workers returned to work following agreement signed between management and the staff union,” he said.

The workers embarked on strike on Monday to press for the implementation of a collective agreement between the management and the union signed in December 2015. It was learnt that in the agreement, the management agreed to release the 2016 training plan/schedule to enable staff know through their respective heads of department or the approved commission’s information media when they were to embark on their training to prepare ahead and other demands.
