President Muhammadu Buhari has been commended for appointing Mrs Abike Dabiri-Erewa as as a senior Special Assistance on Foreign Relation and Diaspora Affairs. The Muslim Media Practitioner of Nigeria made this known yesterday ”He has made the right choice” and that ”its a well deserved appointment”
The Chairman of MMPN, Alhaji Abdur-Rahman Balogun, said the appointment of Mrs Dabiri shows that President Buhari is slow and steady in Making the right choice for the post.
Dabiri-Erewa built the Nigerians in the Diaspora from nothing to something of reckoning to the extent that remittances from the Nigerians living abroad is the highest in Africa, Nigeria abroad remits over $21 billion annually said MMPN.
The Muslim media body however urged Dabiri-Erewa not to relent in her good works and make the country an epitome of excellence in the Diaspora affairs by harnessing the country’s human and material resources abroad. It however urged the president to give his SSA the much needed support to make her succeed in her work.
The body further urged President Buhari to appoint professionals to occupy the headship of Federal media agencies whose Director-Generals were disengaged on Monday in line with the change mantra.
