No fewer than thirteen Edo State indigenes were arrested in Kano with fake international passport en route to Libya.
Kano State police commissioner, Musa Katsina, , informed Governor Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of this during a special visit to the State police command.
The governor was shocked to see the young and energetic youth conducting such a mission. Urging the police commissioner to do more for the safety and security of the state and the nation in general.
When asked during the tour by the governor the young people confirmed that they were on their way to Libya en route Kano.
The commissioner further stated that the State’s police command collected a total number or 1068 cartons of unregistered intoxicating drugs estimated at N600,000,000.
The police also intercepted of cocaine powder with estimated value of N2b, 32 bags and 532 parcels of Indian hemp valued at N2.5m.
In all 45 suspects were arrested, with 8 firearms, 23 motor vehicles, 250 bags of rice, 43 motorcycles, 13 international passports, 41 cows, 12 goats, and 7 sheep were among the things recovered.
